Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a skilled engineer to design and deliver agentic AI solutions using Claude and modern integration practices. You will translate business needs into practical technical designs and prototypes, including Custom Skills, and develop reliable agent workflows with tools, outputs, and retrieval.

You will contribute to patterns balancing usability, performance, maintainability, and safety. The role requires 4+ years in software/data analytics engineering, 2+ years in GenAI/LLM

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain a Federal or DHS PUBLIC TRUST clearance prior to onboarding.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Four (4) or more years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related technical role.
• Two (2) years of recent, hands-on experience building GenAI, LLM, or agentic solutions.
• Experience with Claude API, Claude for Enterprise, Claude Code, tool use, or similar LLM platforms.
• Experience building and integrating applications through APIs, services, or workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Build and support agentic AI solutions using Claude, API integrations, and modern app development practices.
• Translate business and workflow needs into practical technical designs and working prototypes including Custom Skills.
• Develop reliable agent workflows that use tools, structured outputs, retrieval, and human review where appropriate.
• Contribute to design patterns balancing usability, performance, maintainability, and safety.
• Build and maintain integrations with internal and external systems through APIs, services, and data pipelines.
• Support read-oriented and low-risk workflow integrations with common business systems and internal applications.
• Work with relational databases and data storage patterns to support application state, retrieval, and auditability.
