Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Senior AI/ML/Data Scientist to lead enterprise AI initiatives in a hybrid US-based role. You will transform complex business challenges into scalable AI solutions that improve efficiency, mitigate risk, strengthen security, and enhance client experiences.

You will partner with product, risk, operations, and technology teams to embed AI into workflows, ensure governance, and drive practical adoption across the organization.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related quantitative field.
• 3+ years delivering AI/ML solutions in production environments.
• 5+ years of hands-on Python experience; distributed data processing is a plus.
• Strong ability to solve business problems using AI, not just build models.

Responsibilities

• Solve business problems with AI by partnering with stakeholders to identify high-value use cases and success metrics.
• Design and build agentic AI solutions that reason, plan, and act across tools, workflows, and data sources.
• Ensure scalable, secure, and responsible AI with governance, monitoring, and bias controls.
• Act as a trusted AI advisor and contribute to best practices and cross-functional collaboration.
