Job summary

Apple seeks ML engineers to define product experiences by turning frontier model capability into useful, shipable features inside professional creative apps. You’ll work close to designers, app teams, and engineers to push capabilities from model to product.

You will design agentic AI, evaluate performance, and optimize across on-device and server deployments. Strong Python, ML tooling, and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years shipping reliable, maintainable, testable code
• Hands-on experience applying LLMs / foundation models to real products
• Strong intuition for experimental design and statistics
• Strong product sense and ability to judge user experience
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical partners
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evaluate agentic AI capabilities for professional creative apps
• Turn frontier model capability into reliable product behavior with architecture, tools and skills
• Create rigorous evaluations and quality measures for open-ended tasks and drive improvements
• Work with on-device and server foundation models, optimizing for on-device inference
• Investigate model and agent failures end to end from symptom to root cause
• Collaborate with product engineers, designers, and domain experts to translate workflows into capabilities
