Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking an ML engineer to design, build, and evaluate agentic AI capabilities inside our professional creative apps.

You will work where frontier model meets the depth of a real product, turning capabilities into reliable features that help creators move faster while staying in control. Collaborate with designers, quality teams, and engineers to translate real workflows into scalable on-device and server solutions.

Qualifications

3+ years developing and shipping reliable, maintainable, testable code.
Hands-on experience applying LLMs/foundation models to real products.
Strong intuition for experimental design and statistics to measure genuine effects from noise.
A strong product sense: the judgment to assess user experience, not just feasibility.
Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and evaluate agentic AI capabilities in professional apps.
Turn frontier model capability into reliable product behavior via architecture, tool and skill design.
Build evaluations and quality measures for open-ended tasks and drive improvements.
Work with on-device and server foundation models, optimizing for on-device inference.
Investigate model and agent failures end to end from symptoms to root cause.
Partner with product engineers, designers, and app teams to translate workflows into capabilities.
