Job summary

Ethereum Technologies is seeking a hands-on engineer to deliver AI-enabled, production-ready backend services and data-processing components. You will design AI agent workflows, implement structured outputs, and build reproducible pipelines with Databricks notebooks and SQL transformations.

You will work with business users to align solutions with strategic outcomes and maintain rigorous security and governance standards.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business users to understand workflows, pain points, and outcomes.
• Translate requirements into technical specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Identify when deterministic logic, automation, retrieval, or AI agent is appropriate.
• Build vertical slices that demonstrate business value.
• Communicate trade-offs, risks, and decisions clearly to stakeholders.
• Develop bounded AI capabilities for research, explanation, recommendation, and workflow assistance.
• Implement tool contracts with explicit permissions, schemas, and audit requirements.
• Ensure least-privilege access and secure authentication in applications.
• Instrument application behaviour, retrieval, tool calls, and model usage for readiness.
• Produce deployment guidance, rollback procedures, and runbooks.
