Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Procurement Sourcing Analyst to support the sourcing process, manage bids, and negotiate purchases for low-dollar/low-complexity projects under the guidance of Sourcing Agents and Senior Sourcing Agents. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 0–3 years related experience, and strong MS Office, communication, and analytical skills.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule with in-office requirements and a salary range of $79,590–$88,430,

Responsibilities

• Updates, processes, and approves procurement records in a timely manner.
• Provides administrative and data collection support for RFPs, pricing analysis, contract workspaces, new vendor setup, PO & Contract revisions, data analytics.
• Provides transactional support to more senior agents to assist with strategic and category driven procurements.
• Assists with and manages PO and Contract Workspace life cycles.
• Assist in production and data analysis to support Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) scorecards.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of corporate goals and assisting senior agents with cost savings and spend reporting.
• Supports sourcing, negotiation, and contracting for small value contracts/commodities.
• Develops sources of supply, procurement schedules, and supplier pre-qualification activities.
• Identifies engagement with other groups and presents proposed solutions for approval.
• Supports implementation of low complexity solutions and process improvements.

Job description

Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. Our Agents are responsible for a variety of tactical activities and will assist with developing the procurement sourcing strategies, managing the bid process, and negotiating the purchase of materials, equipment, and services for low dollar/complexity sourcing projects from start to finish.

This position will work on projects under the direction of Sourcing Agents and Senior Sourcing Agents to support the sourcing process.

Essential Functions:

Tactical

• Updates, processes, and approves procurement records in a timely manner as directed.
• Provides administrative and data collection support for RFPs, pricing analysis, contract workspaces, new vendor setup, PO (purchase order) & Contract revisions, data analytics, etc.
• Provides transactional support to more senior agents to assist with strategic and category driven procurements.
• Assists with and manages PO and Contract Workspace life cycles.
• Assist in production and data analysis to support Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) scorecards.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of corporate goals and actively assists senior agents with generating/recording cost savings, improving/reporting Tier II spend, and identifying sustainability opportunities within supply base.
• Supports the sourcing, negotiation, and contracting process for small value contracts/commodities under the direction of Sourcing Agents and Senior Sourcing Agents.
• Develops sources of supply, establish procurement schedules, and assist in supplier pre-qualification activities.

Strategic

• Identifies, outlines and gains engagement from other groups and provides proposed solutions, which can be presented to the appropriate groups for approval.
• Supports and executes on the implementation of low complexity solutions and identifies opportunities for process improvements as a result of systemic issues.
