Job summary

Preferred Professional Services (PPS) Agency in Connecticut is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager for our Long-Term Care and Rehab facilities. You will oversee nursing staff within a dedicated unit and coordinate care plans to ensure quality resident outcomes.

Responsibilities include leading a team, supervising operations, assessments for quality and compliance, mentorship, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Valid state RN license.
  • Experience in supervision in a Long-Term Care setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do:

Agency Unit Manager

As an RN Unit Manager, you will oversee and coordinate the nursing staff within a dedicated unit. Your role is instrumental in ensuring the delivery of quality care, fostering a positive work environment, ensuring the health, comfort, and overall well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of nurses and support staff within the unit
  • Develop and implement care plans, ensuring individualized resident care
  • Supervise daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation

What You'll Bring:

Qualifications of a Unit Manager include:

  • Valid state RN nursing license
  • Advanced degree or certification preferred
  • Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a Long-Term Care setting preferred
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
  • Strong clinical, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
