Job description

Position Overview

The Agency Respite Staffing Coordinator is responsible for recruiting and hiring qualified care providers who meet client needs and fit the company's culture. Key tasks include searching for, interviewing, researching, hiring, onboarding, and scheduling staff. The role also involves collaborating with referral sources to assess staffing needs, improving recruitment processes, and ensuring steady staffing levels. Additionally, the coordinator interacts with clients to determine scheduling and specific case requirements.

Essential Functions and/or Duties
  1. Recruiting: Creates and responds promptly to inquiries from recruiting sources; contacts potential candidates via email, phone, and texts on the same day with multiple attempts; maintains applicant information and updates status in the recruiting system; schedules next steps with qualified candidates during initial contact; makes additional contact attempts to previous candidates; makes at least 25 calls weekly to active caregivers and former employees.
  2. Staffing/Scheduling: Manages client staffing needs, maintains accurate tracking of staff availability and assignments, creates and distributes schedules timely, collaborates with families and staff for optimal matches, and communicates schedule changes promptly. Also participates in onboarding, marketing, and community outreach activities, and assists with HR and administrative duties as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One or two years of experience in recruiting or scheduling
  • Ability to work rotating after-hours on-call shifts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferences
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • One year of home care or related experience
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
