Job summary

County of El Dorado's Health and Human Services Agency seeks an Agency Compliance Officer to lead regulatory compliance, privacy, and quality improvement across divisions funded by federal and state programs.

The role requires six years of progressive experience with at least two in a public-sector HHSA entity and three in supervision, plus a CCB certification or eligibility and a valid driver’s license. Telework options may be available consistent with business needs.

Qualifications

• Six years of professional Health or Human Services programmatic experience in regulatory compliance, privacy, auditing, and program integrity.
• At least two years in a public-sector Health and Human Services entity and at least three in a supervisory/management capacity.
• Education or training from an accredited institution; degrees may not be substituted by experience alone.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate policies, procedures, monitoring systems, internal controls and corrective action plans to ensure adherence to complex federal and state program requirements.
• Coordinate communications with federal/state regulatory agencies on compliance and privacy matters; support external audit activities.
• Lead and facilitate the Agency’s Compliance Committee and provide guidance on regulatory expectations and best practices.
• Conduct and oversee audits, monitoring activities, investigations and risk assessments; coordinate corrective actions.
• Review Business Associate Agreements and provider monitoring processes for regulatory alignment with county counsel and divisions.
