Job summary

Rockhill Group seeks an AGE Mechanic to maintain and repair powered AGE equipment at Columbus AFB, MS. You will inspect, service, and document maintenance actions, coordinate with base agencies, and promote safety and professional conduct on-site.

Responsibilities include corrosion detection, data entry on maintenance forms, and cross-utilization training for maintenance tasks in a dynamic base environment. Shift flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of powered AGE repair procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Specialized courses in powered AGE maintenance are required.
• English reading, writing, speaking and comprehension are required.
• Two years’ recent experience as a powered SE/CASS mechanic or equivalent in powered AGE maintenance is required.
• May be required to obtain a flight line driver’s license and possibly a CDL.

RESPONSIBILITIES SHALL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING

• Inspects, repairs, and maintains assigned support equipment, using applicable maintenance instructions and related technical data.
• Detects and treats corrosion.
• Enters required data on maintenance forms.
• Maintains hand and powered tools in an orderly manner.
• Assists senior work center personnel as required.
• Annotates maintenance actions in AGE records and is proficient in CAMS documentation.
• Operates portable fire-fighting equipment.
• Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.
• Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed.
• Must promote Company values, policies, and standards of conduct.
• Must be customer oriented and ensure professional coordination with base agencies.
• Shall perform other duties assigned to include TDY and travel.
• Must be able to work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty as required.
• Receives cross-utilization training and is qualified to perform those maintenance tasks.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A working knowledge of powered AGE repair procedures is required.
• High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
• Specialized courses in powered AGE maintenance are required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Two years’ recent experience as a powered SE/CASS mechanic or equivalent in powered AGE maintenance is required.
• Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
• Duties may involve working with fuels, oils, lubricants, chemical cleaners, and solutions.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight line driver’s license and may be required to obtain a class CDL.
• Physical exertion requirement is medium.
