Job summary

YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking a part-time swim instructor for the Lionville Community YMCA in Exton, PA. The ideal candidate will be at least 16 years old, have experience in competitive swimming or teaching lessons, and will be responsible for leading swim instruction and ensuring participant safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Experience in competitive swimming or teaching lessons preferred.
• Obtain and maintain YMCA YSL certification within 6 months of hire.
• Demonstrate the ability to relate and positively interact with children and adults.
• Be able to demonstrate the five main components of swimming.

Responsibilities

• Lead swim instruction to develop skills.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of participants.
• Greet participants and learn their names.
• Communicate positively with parents/guardians.
• Assist in setting up and cleaning up the pool.

Skills

Experience in competitive swimming

Ability to positively interact with children and adults

Demonstrate swimming techniques
