Job summary

Job description

Fall duties include drive and control farm equipment to till soil and to plant, cultivate, and harvest crops. May perform tasks, such as crop baling or hay bucking. May operate stationary equipment to perform post-harvest tasks, such as husking, shelling, threshing, and ginning. Winter duties include tending livestock and repairing and cleaning fences, ranch buildings, and general equipment maintenance and repairs. Tending livestock usually includes feeding, watering, birthing, branding, shearing, roping, sorting, pasturing, herding, grooming, or trimming, cleaning stalls and basic doctoring skills for the ranch's horses, cattle, poultry, pigs, and/or sheep. Repairing fences to separate pastures and building and maintaining all buildings on the property, maintaining machinery, trucks, tractors, and other equipment used in ranching.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Kitchen facilities, utilities, appliances, and utensils will be provided by the employer at no cost to the workers. Workers will provide and prepare their own meals. Upon request, the employer will provide transportation, at no cost to the worker, to stores at least once a week for shopping for food and other necessary items.

Transport: The employer is responsible for paying inbound transportation costs in the first workweek of employment to the extent that shifting such costs to the employees (either directly or indirectly) would effectively not bring the workers' wages below the FLSA minimum wage. Employer will provide or pay for charter bus services or other modes of transportation to groups of H-2A or U.S. workers or will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than
