Job Summary

The position of Agronomy Laborer is of great significance to Valley Agronomics. A person in this position will assist patrons in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the cooperative. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist customers with buying bulk fertilizer, chemicals, and seed, as well as delivering grain commodities to the terminal.
  2. Load and unload railcars efficiently as they arrive.
  3. Verify that equipment and supporting vehicles are in good working order.
  4. Blend and load agronomy products.
  5. Unload grain commodities as received.
  6. Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemicals, seed, or other items to customer sites.
  7. Perform warehouse duties, including operating loaders, forklifts, and performing maintenance.
  8. Maintain cleanliness inside and outside all facilities.
  9. Complete safety reports and required record-keeping.
  10. Follow all company policies and procedures.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Maintain current licenses applicable to the position.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and adhere to safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with management, staff, customers, vendors, and the public.
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions and act according to policy.
  • Provide high levels of customer service.
