Job summary

Farm Credit Services of America offers a 12-week summer internship for a Financial Officer to learn how to advise customers on products that best meet their financial needs. You’ll build lasting relationships with customers, teammates, and the communities you serve.

Interns work on real projects and will be relied upon for insights to help deliver those projects to market while gaining exposure to credit processes and promotional activities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant fields (see education).
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong desire to learn about ag finance, lending, and credit businesses.
• Available for a 12-week internship during summer.

Responsibilities

• Learn general office procedures and assist with promotional activities.
• Input annual financial information from customers and analyze financial position.
• Conduct credit verifications with references and other lenders per loan application.
• Promote Farm Credit Services of America through public activities.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
• Observe marketing/sales and prospecting calls; observe loan applications and closings.
