Job summary

H2ajobs in North Dakota seeks farm workers to operate tractors and combines for planting, cultivating, and harvesting wheat and beans. You will haul grains, equipment, and inputs to storage areas and elevators, and perform routine maintenance on gear and grounds. Independence and team work are required as needed.

Job description

Duties include drive and operate farm machinery such as tractors and combines to perform farm activities such as planting, cultivation, harvesting of crops wheat & beans. Workers will drive tractors installed with GPS and operate designated towing equipment, drills, disks, and drags to furrow and prepare the soil, seed and fertilize. They will haul materials, supplies or crops to designated locations. Workers will haul grains, equipment, and input items such as fertilizer, seed, and supplies to storage and stockpiles on the farm or local elevators. All crops and supplies will be the property of the Employer. There will be no commercial hauling. Routine maintenance will be done on all equipment & grounds. Workers must be able to work independently after being given instructions and must be team players when needed.

Requirements:

• Employees have valid driver's license or obtain one in 60 days.
• Cell phone usage is limited to business-related calls only.
• NO TEXTING.
• No smoking in equipment, vehicles, housing or grounds.
• No drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours and otherwise discouraged.
• Must be able to read, understand and speak English for record keeping and safety reasons.
• No Educational level is required.
• Must have three months of tractor driving experience with GPS and towed implements.
• Operate and understand GPS and computerized monitors.
• Employees must have valid driver's license or obtain one in 60 days.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: The workers will have a fully furnished kitchen with cooking and eating utensils where they can prepare their meals. When they cannot return for meals they will be provide with lunch cooler to pack their lunches.

Workers will be provided with transportation one a week to the closest grocery store where the workers can purchase their groceries and personal item. Distance to the closest grocery store is 12 miles.

Transport: Upon completion 50% of work contract, the Employer will reimburse worker's airfare transportation and daily subsistence (inbound) a minimum reimbursement of $ 16.78 per day and a maximum reimbursement of $ 68.00 per day. Receipts required from the place of recruitment to theplacement of work. Upon completion of contract, the employer will pay the (outbound) cost to the place of recruitment, except when the worker does not return to place of original recruitment or an extension is filed.
