Job summary

H2ajobs is hiring for agricultural labor in Crosbyton, TX. Responsibilities include operating bale presses, ginning tasks, recording weights, loading crops, and transporting to storage. Must be able to work long hours in varied conditions, lift up to 50 lbs, and comply with potential random drug testing.

Housing and meals are provided; weekly transportation to stores may be arranged. Work hours may extend to 12 hours on peak days and night shifts could be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate stationary equipment such as bale press to perform post-harvest tasks such as ginning and record weights and identifying information
• Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery
• Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines
• Drive and control equipment to support agricultural activities such as ginning
• Load and unload crops in the field and maintain inventory
• Drive truck with trailer to haul crops to or from storage
• Observe equipment operation to detect malfunctions; daily upkeep and cleaning of equipment

Job description

Operate stationary equipment such as bale press to perform post-harvest tasks such as ginning; record weights and other identifying information including weight of bale and seed; Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery; Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines; Drive and control equipment to support agricultural activities such as ginning; Load and unload crops in the field; Maintain inventory; Drive truck with trailer to haul crops such as cotton bales or modules to or from storage; Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions; Daily upkeep and cleaning of equipment while ginning; During times of peak need and depending on weather or crop conditions, hours requested may increase to up to 12 hours per day; Work at night may be requested; Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.
