Longview Bank in Covington, IN is seeking an experienced Ag/Commercial Loan Officer to serve customers seeking residential loan products and to support branch operations. You will interview applicants, analyze requests, and manage a loan portfolio.

You will build relationships with customers and community organizations, represent the bank at events, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in mortgage lending, banking, or financial services preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Effective communication and customer service abilities.
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to analyze financial information and assess risk.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of banking regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers seeking residential loan products.
• Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility.
• Analyze loan requests, identifying strengths and risks.
• Make loan decisions within authority or recommend to management.
• Communicate with clients to gather and provide required information.
• Manage and service your loan portfolio, including delinquency follow-up.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, prospects, and community organizations.
• Represent the bank at community events and networking opportunities.
• Support a positive and team-oriented work environment.
• Assist with addressing customer concerns beyond front-line staff capabilities.
• Oversee administration of loans you originate.
• Prepare reports and attend meetings as required.
• Cross-sell Bank products and services.
• Complete all required training, including BSA/AML.
• Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
