Job summary

The Youth Development Professional 1 (YDP 1) at the 21st CCLC Garfield Middle School Boys and Girls Club plays a pivotal role in providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for young club members. This position assists in planning and implementing programs to foster growth and healthy living during the afterschool program.

The role also involves supervising campers from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday, with summer hours TBD.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Must have experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of programs and activities designed to promote the physical, emotional, and social development of club members.
• Collaborate with staff to create an engaging program schedule.
• Supervise and actively participate in club activities to ensure safety and well-being.
