Gathering Outreach Community Services is seeking an On-Call Substitute Team Member for the Gathering Kids Afterschool Program in Pearland, TX. Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age (or meet approved student employment requirements).
• Experience working with children in educational, childcare, youth development, recreation, or mentoring settings is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, flexibility, and sound judgment.
• Must successfully complete all required background screenings and onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage students in a safe and positive environment.
• Assist with student check-in, attendance, and dismissal procedures.
• Support homework assistance and academic enrichment activities.
• Facilitate games, recreational activities, arts and crafts, and other enrichment experiences.
• Encourage positive behavior while reinforcing program expectations.
• Build respectful and supportive relationships with students, families, and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned program areas.
• Follow all Gathering Outreach Community Services policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and communicate concerns to program leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support program operations.
