Job summary

Right At School is seeking a Substitute Educator to support local schools' after-school programs. You will help deliver engaging activities from 2pm to 6pm, Monday through Friday, fostering a love of learning in students aged up to 12. Expect a pay rate of $21–$23 per hour based on education and experience.

Responsibilities include preparing curricula, leading activities, and ensuring a safe, enriching environment while collaborating with staff and parents to promote student success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience with children under 13.
• Able to lift 25 lbs.
• Meet state requirements for California postings and work in the US.
• Authorized to work in the US; High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Review daily goals and updates in meetings.
• Prepare and lead curriculum and activities aligned to objectives.
• Lead daily fitness and educational activities for ages 5–12.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment and positive guidance.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff and school personnel.
