Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional experience in recreational school programs, homework mentoring.
• Open-mindedness, organizational skills, creativity, and enthusiasm for improvisation.
• Experience and competence in advising, communicating and working effectively with parents.
• Competency with basic word processing and internet functions; as well as all applications used in the regular functioning of the school.
• Ability to ascertain which people may need immediate assistance and to act accordingly.
• German language skills required
• Valid US work permit required

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for regular After School staff and support the day-to-day operation of the program as assigned.
• Homework mentoring possible
• Communicate relevant information regarding students' behavior, needs, and activities to the regular After School team and/or supervisor.
• Supervising children, providing emotional support and ensuring their safety.
• Follow the daily schedule, routines, and instructions provided by the regular After School team or supervisor.
• Adapt to different assignments and student groups as needed.
• Maintain appropriate supervision and follow all school safety and student supervision procedures.
• Lead or assist with arts & crafts, sports, science projects, and other recreational activities as assigned.
• Organizing other recreational activities.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or Head of School
