Job summary

Dream Preparatory Academy in Greenville, SC seeks an Assistant for its Afterschool Program to help create engaging, interactive learning moments after school. You will supervise, assist with homework, and support students in STEM and arts activities in a safety-conscious environment.

You will collaborate with the Program Administrator, maintain a welcoming space, and contribute to positive guidance and teamwork.

Qualifications

• First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to pass all required background clearances.
• Stand, walk, and actively engage with children for extended periods; lift up to 25 pounds.
• Strong communication and positive guidance skills.
• High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of students during snack, play, and enrichment.
• Assist in leading hands-on STEM projects, arts, and activities.
• Monitor student behavior and use positive management strategies.
• Work with Afterschool Administrator and staff to maintain an inviting program space.
• Assist with homework sessions and learning moments.
• Ensure smooth program operations, check-in/dismissal, and health/safety standards.
