Job summary

Camp Fire First Texas is seeking an energetic Afterschool Site Director to lead an elementary afterschool program with hands-on activities grounded in Outdoor Education, Positive Youth Development, and STEAM. You will manage the onsite program, ensure licensing compliance, and foster strong communication with families and school partners.

The role requires 21+ age, licensing compliance, supervisory experience, and a passion for youth development.

Qualifications

• Must meet Texas Child Care Licensing requirements for Site Director.
• Minimum 1 year working with children and youth.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience managing two or more staff.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with parents and administrative staff.
• Ability to provide a safe, fun, nurturing environment for youth during school year and summer.
• Ability to demonstrate positive behavior management and problem-solving techniques.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct an afterschool program onsite at an elementary school.
• Ensure compliance with Texas Licensing Minimum State Standards.
• Track daily student attendance and incidents.
• Maintain enrollment paperwork and up-to-date information.
• Create positive communication with parents, school staff, and community partners.
• Support recruitment events at school site and in community.
• Attend Site Director meetings and trainings.
• Supervise and mentor site staff on program requirements.
