Job summary

Big Brainbox seeks an energetic Teacher for its afterschool Computer Science & Robotics program serving K–8 students. You will lead the classroom, deliver robotics lessons, and implement a structured, hands-on curriculum.

You'll receive onboarding, hands-on training, and direct lines to BBX leadership. This role suits someone who thrives with autonomy and wants fast teaching experience in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; education or STEM degree preferred.
• Experience in an educational setting is required (tutoring centers, STEM camps, afterschool programs).
• Understanding of neurodiversity learning needs and support.
• Ability to manage a classroom independently.
• Strong communication with students, parents, and teammates.
• Reliable, adaptable, and mission-aligned.
• Familiarity with robotics competitions is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead afterschool robotics classes for K–8 students.
• Follow the 2026-2027 First Lego League program calendars for different age groups.
• Design new robotics lessons with AI Native lesson generators.
• Support students with learning differences using positive reinforcement.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, high-energy learning environment.
• Handle classroom setup, materials, and inventory management.
• Communicate student updates to parents and caregivers as directed.
• Attend team check-ins and BBX training sessions.
