Job summary

Armed Services YMCA in Kaneohe seeks an Operation Hero Facilitator for the upcoming school year. This seasonal, part-time role supports military children through the Operation Hero program at our Marine Corps Kaneohe branch.

You will implement lessons, prepare plans, manage materials, and ensure a safe, engaging space for eight elementary-age participants. Schedule: Mondays 1:45-4:45 PM and Wednesdays 12:45-3:45 PM; pay is $18.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience working with children in a group setting

Responsibilities

• Implement and facilitate the Operation Hero program for groups of eight children
• Read weekly lessons and develop lesson plans 1 week in advance
• Coordinate resources and snacks following YMCA guidelines
• Review registrations and understand family needs
• Maintain organized, safe program space
• Complete attendance, reports, supply requests and incident logs
• Communicate feedback to Branch Director within 48 hours
• Participate in weekly meetings and report progress
• Incorporate YMCA values into lessons and conduct
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Branch Director
