Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in a group setting.

• Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification if not already held.

• Assist with serving meals and homework support.

About the Role:

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Group Growth Leaders to join our School Age Program at Growing Minds Youth Development II and GMYD 148 in Bronx, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and contribute to their growth and development in a fun and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage with children in group activities
• Plan and Implement age-appropriate and stimulating crafts and activities
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the program
• Assist with serving meals
• Communicate effectively with parents and other staff members
• Assist with homework and provide academic support
• Assist with Afterschool pick-ups
• Decorate program on Holidays.
• Plan Holiday Events
• Order Supplies

Requirements:

• Prior experience working with children 5-12 years of age in a group setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain a positive and nurturing environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
