Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is seeking a Program Aide for the Levittown Corps to support before- and after-school care for children in grades K–6. You will help supervise, assist with homework, and promote a safe, engaging environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with snacks, keeping areas tidy, and sharing ideas to enhance the program. Duties also cover reporting concerns, supporting the mission, and performing other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Previous experience working with children helpful.
• Patient and understanding attitude when working with children from various backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the care of each child who is part of our program.
• Assist with homework help and encourage engaging play for those without homework.
• Assist with snacks and clean up; teach children to clean up their space.
• Share creative ideas with staff for program excellence and child benefit.
• Report concerns or medical incidents to supervisor immediately.
• Help children grow and learn while having fun.
