Job summary

Atlanta Public Schools is seeking an After School Paraprofessional to assist certified teachers with in-person instruction, organization, and enrichment activities in the after-school program.

The role requires knowledge of childhood growth, classroom safety, and the ability to supervise students effectively in a fast-paced school environment. On-site work with potential training opportunities is included.

Qualifications

• Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate required or eligible.
• Associate degree or 60 college hours or HS diploma with GACE Paraprofessional Assessment.
• 2 years of experience in after-school programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist assigned teacher with academic and enrichment activities.
• Supervise students during after-school program and snack time.
• Assist with lesson plan prep and material preparation.
• Coordinate student transitions and support staff as needed.
• Attend training and support volunteers as requested.
