Job summary

Andover Recreation - Kid Care is seeking enthusiastic Afterschool Group Leaders to run activities for students in five Andover elementary schools. You will lead games, STEM activities, and homework help, while modeling a safe, caring environment.

Flexible scheduling and opportunities to develop leadership, supervision, and program planning skills. Compensation ranges hourly with paid training and team-based support.

• A passion for working with kids.
• Must meet State of MA Child Care Licensing requirements.

Afterschool Leaders:

Description: Calling all future leaders and educators! Are you looking to make a difference? We provide opportunities for your passion to shine: maybe you like sports, arts & crafts, or maybe even math and science! Our Group Leaders are responsible for facilitating activities for children in our After School programs leading games, STEM activities, homework help and more. The Group Leader works as part of a team to ensure that a safe and caring environment is always provided for children. This is an opportunity to be an important role model in many kid’s lives - priceless!

Responsibilities:

The Kid Care After School program operates out of the 5 elementary schools in Andover. Staff are assigned to a location that works well for them. This is an ideal position for someone looking to further their career in education, sports/recreation, childcare, and for anyone looking to build their supervisory, management, and program planning skills.

Work Shifts/Hours:

• FLEXIBLE scheduling available.
• Hours available within Monday - Friday 3:00/3:30 - 5:30/6:00p
• Additional hours available during school vacations and summer.

Pay Structure depending on qualifications and experience.

• Group Leader wage range $18.25-19.75 per hour
