Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta is seeking a Lead Teacher to develop and implement lessons that engage K-12 students after school in Augusta, GA. You will work 3:00pm–7:00pm, Mondays through Fridays, with a focus on academic support and positive role-modeling.

As part of the Programs team, you will prepare weekly lesson plans, track attendance, and coordinate with the Program Coordinator to meet operation standards and student goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required in a related field.
• Georgia Teaching Certificate required.
• Special Education Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lessons and activities to stimulate and expand students' skills.
• Create and submit weekly lesson plans to the Program Coordinator.
• Administer assessments to set individual learning goals for each student.
• Align activities with Georgia Performance Standards to meet program goals.
• Create a structured environment and manage all children.
• Provide tutoring in areas deemed necessary by the Program Coordinator.
• Maintain accurate student participation and attendance records.
• Foster relationships with parents/guardians and teachers; communicate progress regularly.
• Attend necessary training and serve as a role model for students and staff.

Education
