Job summary

Jewish Community Center of the East Bay in Berkeley is seeking an Inclusion Specialist to support afterschool students who need extra behavioral and emotional support. You will help implement behavior plans and work with families and staff to foster an inclusive environment.

The role is part-time, 1:30pm–6pm, Monday through Friday, up to 27 hours/week. Compensation starts at $23.81/hour and goes to $27.43/hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience with children who have behavioral needs.
• Experience working with K–5 students.
• ABA or other Special Education training preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Create toolboxes and behavior plans with site leadership to support students.
• Assist teachers with behavior management and conflict resolution.
• Provide emotional regulation support and model inclusive practices.
• Train staff on strategies for including all students.
• Maintain sensory room and assist with daily operations.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and support program mission.
