Job summary

Hebrew Public Charter Schools seeks an Afterschool Counselor to lead and supervise students after school, designing engaging activities and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment. You will collaborate with staff, communicate with families, and track attendance while following school policies.

Requirements include a high school diploma; NYS certification is preferred and CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise students in activities after school.
• Design age-appropriate activities that foster creativity and teamwork.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.
• Monitor behavior and provide guidance with professionalism.
• Coordinate with other afterschool staff for a cohesive program.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about participation and progress.
• Track attendance and maintain records.
