Job summary

The YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Content Specialist for the Dodge YMCA in Brooklyn on a part-time basis. You will select and manage program content, develop curricula, and coach staff to ensure high-quality afterschool experiences for youth.

You will oversee lesson plan implementation, provide professional development, and maintain documentation to support safe, engaging activities aligned with OCFS and DOH standards. A Bachelor’s in Education is required; Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience working with children under 13.
• Experience in supervising/oversight, including content development, staff coaching, and training.

Responsibilities

• Select and manage content across all COMPASS program areas; create curricula and lesson plans when necessary.
• Oversee lesson plan implementation and support staff to ensure effective delivery.
• Coach staff with targeted strategies to improve lesson facilitation, classroom management, and behavior support.
• Maintain accurate program documentation and ensure a safe, high-quality environment for youth development.
