Job summary

The YMCA of Central Florida is seeking a Co-Teacher to implement and supervise daily activities for youth in an afterschool program. You will help provide a safe and organized environment that supports social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth for children.

You will plan daily lesson activities, ensure safety procedures, and assist with supplies, sign-in/out, and health logs. The role involves teamwork, follow-through on policies, and involvement in program events.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 years or older.
• 1 year of childcare experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and healthy environment for children in the afterschool program.
• Assist in planning and implementing daily lesson plans aligned with children's needs.
• Ensure proper sign-in/out procedures and maintain health logs and incident forms.
• Participate in member retention, events, and paperwork as required.
• Adhere to all safety, policy, and management directions.
