Job summary

Salt Lake County Youth Services is seeking Youth Leaders for ASP Temp Hires to support afterschool and school-year programs in Magna, Kearns, and West Valley. You will mentor youth, plan activities across STEM, arts, and healthy living, and participate in required trainings while contributing to a safe, engaging environment after school.

Compensation starts at $15.45–$18.00 per hour with tiers based on experience; scheduling follows the school calendar, with afternoons and some summer

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Desire to work with youth in a structured setting.
• Reliability and punctuality to support youth programs.
• Ability to engage youth of all ages and foster growth.
• Strong communication with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor groups of up to 15 youth using Positive Behavior Support techniques.
• Plan and implement daily activities across STEM, Arts/Culture, Character Education, Healthy Living, and College/Career Exploration.
• Create lesson plans and activities to enrich youth academically and in daily life.
• Complete 25 hours of training per school year to meet program goals.
