Job summary

United Way Miami, Inc. is hiring an After Care Aide to support children’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development under teacher guidance. You will help implement developmentally appropriate activities and maintain a safe classroom in the Center for Excellence in Early Education.

The role emphasizes teamwork with teachers and parents, and offers growth opportunities, EAP access, transit/parking passes, and 401k benefits. Shift: 1:30 PM–5:30 PM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; DCF 45-hour training completed.
• Experience with children preferred.
• Proficient with basic computer tools: Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interact with children in a caring, supportive manner.
• Assist teachers and follow classroom instructions to implement curriculum.
• Communicate with parents and visitors in a professional, friendly way.
• Help maintain a safe, organized, developmentally appropriate environment.
• Uphold health, safety, and nutrition rules and supervise children.
• Support ongoing professional growth and participate in meetings/training.
• Assist in documenting children’s progress and activities.
