We are seeking a permanent fulltime Evening Shift Coordinator to join our Supply Chain Production team, based at our ANZ Northgate Head Office.

Reporting to the Production Manager, this key role will lead the evening shift working a 2:15pm-10:45pm shift to produce our product in accordance with Metagenics quality systems. In this important and autonomous appointment, you will contribute towards all aspects of continuous improvement, acting as a key contributor and mentor to all aspects of processes, equipment, work practices and equipment relevant to your shift, as well as to the Production Facility as a whole by communicating relevant information to the correct management and day shift supervisors.

The ideal candidate in this role will be a clear communicator and effective leader, with the ability to provide consistent development and guidance to our afternoon shift team members.

Key Responsibilities

Work within GMP guidelines in leading a production team in packing tablets, capsules, liquids and powders, ensuring high quality of product and optimum yields

Ensure that operators and work environment adhere to workplace health and safety guidelines and procedures at all times

Provide clear direction to team members and reinforce understanding of individual responsibilities as required

Assist the Production Coordinators in ensuring that packing and clean down procedures are as efficient as possible

Demonstrate Accountability by being a single point of accountability on evening shift in addressing quality issues, hazards and faults as they arise, encouraging team collaboration and ensuring completion of all relevant paperwork where applicable

Assist Production Supervisors in increasing the overall productivity and efficiency of the production facility

Skills and Experience

Proven leadership and development of others capability

Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food/beverage, cosmetic or pharmaceutical industries- highly regarded

The ability to make judgement calls during periods of low supervision and communicate and escalate timely and information to relevant stakeholders.
