Job summary

Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division seeks a Maintenance Technician for the Kings Mountain, NC site on the afternoon shift (2:45 pm - 11:15 pm). The role covers mechanical, electrical, and controls maintenance on production machinery, with pay ranges and scheduled increases after 6 months and 1 year of service.

The job requires a high school diploma or GED, hands-on maintenance experience, CMMS proficiency, and ability to read schematics and blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 2 years of manufacturing-focused maintenance experience or closely related experience, supported by training in mechanics, electrical systems, industrial maintenance, and/or automation.
• Hands-on experience performing both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical blueprints to support equipment repair or rebuild activities.
• Working experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for asset management and maintenance tracking.
• No immigration sponsorship for this position.
• No relocation benefit; must reside within 50 miles of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and controls-related maintenance activities to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery.
• Diagnose equipment issues; repair or replace components; test, adjust, and verify proper operation using knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on machines to support reliability and uptime.
• Read schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to perform maintenance tasks.
• Support continuous improvement and teamwork to achieve departmental and plant objectives.
• Maintain 6S in work areas and participate in housekeeping efforts.
• Identify and report abnormal conditions, safety concerns, and defective materials.
• Participate in training to update technical skills for new machinery and technologies.
