Job summary

Edwards Elementary School is seeking a PM Custodian to perform custodial and housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for students and staff. The role reports to the Lead Custodian and focuses on routine cleaning, maintenance, and safety compliance during after-school and evening shifts.

The position requires basic English, physical endurance, and the ability to follow directions with independent work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or relevant work experience.
• Ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
• Basic communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Basic English language skills preferred.”

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices, lounges, restrooms, and common areas according to established schedules.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and high-touch surfaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, buff, and maintain floors, including gymnasium floors.
• Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, windows, chalkboards/whiteboards, counters, and other surfaces.
• Secure the building at the end of the shift.
