Irmo Chapin Recreation Comm is seeking an Afternoon Safari Assistant Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations at the safari site, assist in supervising staff, and help implement programs and projects. You will interact with parents and help manage fees and paperwork.
The role requires 4+ years in summer/day camp management or related fields, strong communication, judgment, and organizational skills. This is a part-time, on-site position with benefits for employees.
Hourly Rate: 16.31
Under direct supervision of the Safari Program Manager, the Assistant Site Supervisor aids in managing and directing the safari site, assists in staff supervision, coordinates implementation of program and special projects, interacts with parents and helps to record/process fees and program files/paperwork.
Requires 4 years of summer/day camp management, recreation or education experience, dedicated interest in the welfare of children and their family, effective communication skills, sound judgment, effective decision-making skills, high standard of accuracy and responsibility, self-reliance and enthusiasm, organizational and planning skills, interacts positively with park staff and public, responds well to direction by supervisor. Related education and experience in recreation management, education, childcare, or related field preferred.
