Job summary

The Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission is seeking outgoing, enthusiastic, and dependable staff for its Afternoon Adventures program at Crooked Creek Park and Seven Oaks Park. Must be available Mon-Fri, 2:30-6:30 P.M and some half days and in-service days.

Responsibilities include helping participants who may need additional support during activities, caring for participants direct needs and supporting participants throughout the activity.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older on first day of employment.
• Experience with people with cognitive, behavioral or physical disabilities, special education or recreation is preferred.

• Assist with activities that may include athletic/outdoor recreation, skill-building games and care-taking tasks such as feeding and toileting.
