Job summary

Pilgrim’s in Independence, Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Afternoon shift to monitor, adjust and repair equipment across the department, ensuring peak uptime and safety. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose drive-related issues, troubleshoot electrical circuits, use multi-meters and welding equipment, and document all work.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret simple instructions.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Strong mechanical problem-solving abilities.
• Experience using maintenance power tools.
• Able to pass a hands-on maintenance assessment.

Responsibilities

• Monitors equipment for proper operation and makes adjustments and repairs.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and report to supervisor.
• Identify and apply welding symbols and repair techniques.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and troubleshoot bearing failures.
• Diagnose drive-related issues and ensure optimal performance.
• Assist in troubleshooting, repair, modification and construction of equipment/structures.
• Analyses electrical circuits using Ohm's and Kirchhoff’s laws.
• Safely use multi-meters and other diagnostic tools.
• Execute welding operations and interpret welding symbols.
• Maintain records on all equipment.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
• Gather feedback from production on equipment, workstations, and product flow.
