Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a part-time Food Service worker to join the Jackson, MI kitchen operations. You will prepare and portion food according to recipes, assist in prep, and ensure timely service to patrons while maintaining strict food safety standards.

You will also transport items across the facility, keep surfaces clean, and support inventory and stock organization. The role may involve evenings or weekends as needed at our Jackson facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Willingness to follow food safety and sanitation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion food items according to recipes and standards.
• Combine ingredients and assist in food prep under supervision.
• Serve food to patrons in a timely and professional manner while ensuring safety.
• Transport food, supplies, and equipment across the facility safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas and equipment.
• Perform ware washing duties including loading and unloading dishwashing equipment.
• Organize and stock kitchen supplies and equipment in designated areas.
• Assist with inventory management and report shortages.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols to prevent contamination.
