Job summary

Allied Universal® in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Security Officer - Afternoons Full-Time to provide a welcoming, secure front desk presence at a technology-focused office. You will manage visitor access, respond to incidents, and support safety procedures while delivering excellent customer service to employees and guests.

Responsibilities include verifying IDs, maintaining logs, monitoring cameras and alarms, and coordinating with emergency responders.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a front desk within a technology-focused office location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and access authorization, maintain visitor logs, and issue or collect visitor credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points, reception-area activity, alarms, cameras, and communication systems, escalating unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify site contacts and emergency responders as directed by established procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, complete required reports, and provide clear information and directions to support a professional and welcoming front-desk environment.
