Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Technician I to perform daily cleaning of patient rooms and associated areas, stock supplies, and assist with discharge cleaning in a respectful, patient-centered environment.

The role requires knowledge of cleaning techniques and infection control practices, with experience in terminal cleaning and UV light procedures. This is a full-time onsite position with an afternoon shift (11:00 AM-7:30 PM) and a focus on high QA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning solutions, safety and PPE.
• Ability to perform terminal cleaning and UV-light procedures.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of patient rooms and discharge areas.
• Stock rooms with paper products and supplies.
• Follow cleaning procedures and use chemicals safely.
• Perform terminal cleaning including UV light technology.
• Support other areas as needed to maintain operations.
• Maintain high QA scores and professional image.
