Job summary

All Ways Caring HomeCare is seeking a Direct Support Professional (IDD) to provide compassionate, in-home support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will help with daily living activities, personal care, and health monitoring in a home-like setting.

You will implement Individual Service Plans and Behavior Support Plans, maintain accurate documentation, and transport clients to activities and appointments.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• Pass background check.
• Driver's license with valid Auto Insurance.
• High school diploma/GED.
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification; or equivalent experience with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks in a home-like setting, including hygiene, feeding, and ambulation.
• Foster positive relationships between individuals served and their circle of support.
• Encourage self-help activities and implement ISPs/Behavior Support Plans.
• Manage behaviors to prevent escalation and maintain safety.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation and coordinate transport to activities/appointments.
