Job summary

All Ways Caring is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide direct care in home-like settings for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will support daily living activities, monitor health, and help develop life skills to promote independence and community participation.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) with all levels of personnel
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, and walking for periods of time
• Must meet state regulatory requirements for Home Care regulations & Personal Care Aide registrations or CNA certification

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home-like settings
• Assist with daily living activities and life skills development
• Monitor and document health status and progress
• Support medication administration as required by state regulations
• Plan meals, perform light housekeeping, and transport clients to appointments and activities
• Maintain safety and dignity of clients and report changes to supervisors
