Job description

***$250 COMPANY BONUS AFTER 120 DAYS***

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable person who would like to teach and care for young children!

Shifts available:

2:30/3:30 pm - 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday

No weekends!

Pay: Starting at $13 an hour, depending on experience

Teaching Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum.
  2. Perform general cleanup after activities and snacks, and complete the cleanup checklist at the end of the day.
  3. Treat children with compassion, dignity, and respect.
  4. Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and management.
  5. Establish a positive image as a role model for children and families.
  6. Responsible for nightly chores around the center and assistance on laundry days.
  7. Dress professionally.
  8. Follow all Little Endeavors policies.
  9. Respect confidentiality of children and families.
Co-Worker Expectations:
  1. Share a fair workload.
  2. Handle negative information tactfully.
  3. Maintain communication with morning staff and the director.
  4. Approach criticism as an opportunity to learn.
  5. Maintain a positive attitude and be friendly and respectful.
  6. Look for ways to help around the center.
  7. Be flexible as needed, as directed by the supervisor.
  8. Communicate directly and avoid gossip.
Administrative Expectations:
  1. Be reliable in attendance, arriving on time and providing ample notice for absences.
  2. Perform duties carefully and conscientiously, using positive words and actions towards children, parents, and staff.
  3. Be nurturing to all children.
  4. Be courteous and helpful to children and parents.
  5. Be responsible and flexible with your duties and assignments.
  6. Remain calm in tense situations.
  7. Maintain a positive attitude and follow policies and procedures.

Complete all DHS requirements for trainings, background checks, and physicals promptly after hiring or annually.
