Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools in Bethesda is seeking a Building Service Worker for Shift 1 (12:00pm–4:00pm). Under general supervision, you will perform building cleaning, facilities and grounds maintenance in schools and administrative buildings, and receive on-the-job training in methods, equipment operation and safe work practices.

This entry-level, part-time role requires physical effort, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and occasional overtime or night work.

Qualifications

• Completion of the ninth grade is required.
• High School diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience with cleaning of buildings and grounds is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, performs building cleaning, facilities and grounds maintenance in schools and admin buildings.
• Receives on-the-job training in cleaning methods and equipment use.
• May be required to report to buildings during inclement weather and emergencies.
