Job summary

LGTC Group is seeking a Behavioral Specialist in Santa Clara County to provide daily behavioral and emotional support within a structured therapeutic environment. The role works at one of two locations—San Carlos or Union Avenue—allowing candidates to indicate their preferred site.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 1:30pm–6:15pm. The position emphasizes crisis response, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and modeling healthy coping skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field (or in progress).
• Experience in mental health, behavioral health, or related setting preferred.
• Experience with adolescents or adults in structured treatment settings is a plus.
• Basic understanding of mental health conditions and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day behavioral and emotional support aligned with individualized treatment plans.
• Model professional behavior, communication, and emotional regulation.
• Assist clients in utilizing coping skills and navigating moments of distress.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, clinical rounds, and trainings.
• Support group activities and reinforce therapeutic routines.
• Respond to client distress and escalate safety concerns when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries.
